How to Overcome Fear

Whenever I try something new, I experience fear. It's often a fear of the unknown or a worry about failure. I sometimes rationalize avoiding these challenges to avoid discomfort. Have you felt similarly?

The more I try to avoid my fears, the more my mind becomes overwhelmed with overthinking and negative imagery. Since there's no external pressure forcing me to confront my fears, it's easy to avoid them. However, this avoidance can lead to stagnation and negative consequences.

I realize that facing my fears is necessary for personal growth. But it's difficult, and simply telling myself to "just do it" isn't enough. I've found a helpful technique: I write down the potential outcomes of facing and avoiding my fears, then count from 1 to 5 and take action.

This method has been somewhat effective, and I believe that with consistent practice, it will become easier to confront my fears. I hope this approach can be helpful to others as well.
